The
Pennsylvania
Little British Car Rallye
This year's
rallye has concluded. Click on "2006 Rallye" to read the
synopsis and view the pictures.
For those who are new to our event, here is some
information......
The PA-LBC Rallye is a FREE
Car Rallye
held in Tuscarora, PA...
usually during the second or third week of
July.
(Zip - 17982, Eastern Pennsylvania).
The Rallye is open to anyone interested
in British cars. It was started as an activity for the
"Spridgets List", (a collection of really GREAT people)!!
No prior experience with rallies is needed to participate
in this rally. It is not a timed event or race, but a
driving "scavenger hunt" of sorts.
Participants are required to gather items and information
along a predetermined route. There is nothing difficult
involved and everyone has the same chance of winning
regardless of any other prior rally experience.
Some
FAQ's:
Who hosts the
Rallye? The rallye is
hosted by the Valentine Family and has been occurring since
July of 1999.
Can I participate in a
non-british car? Yes,
you can run the rally in a non-british car but you may not
win any prizes. You must also yield the right of way to any
British car participant by pulling over to the side of the
roadway and letting the British car participant pass. (even
if you do it in a non-British car - it's still fun)!!!!!
Can I run the Rally
alone? NO, you will
need a navigator. If you do not have a navigator, we will
supply you with one. Just let us know when you fill in the
registration.
What is the cost to
participate? -
Nothing, that's right, the Rally is Free! We have an awards
ceremony following the Rally and we "pass the hat" for
contributions for the food, but other than that, there is
no "registration fee" or costs of any kind.
How long is the
Rally? Usually the
Rally takes between 1.5 and 3 hours. The "Rally Party"
afterwards usually lasts until about 11pm or midnight
sometimes later......
